Proverbs 4

PROVERBS 4

14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

15 Avoid it, do not go on it; turn from it and pass on.

DON’T GO IN!

Solomon was like his father, David.

In Psalms 1, we see the same message.

A message that each of us should take to heart.

The world is not a very nice place.

There are temptations and dangers lurking round every corner for the believer.

If you have any doubt about going into somewhere or going with people, then that is the Holy Spirit.

He is telling you not to do it, or to go with these people.

The Bible is filled with stories of people, who have been influenced by wicked people.

David himself went to sojourn with the Philistines, he had to feign himself mad…imagine that.

David the king of Israel., pretending to be insane in front of the enemies of Israel.

One look is all it takes.

Before you know it you have made a decision that will lead to regret, Solomon says.

When faced with temptation, don’t ever go near it…run from it.

Consider the words of David below:

Psalm 1

1 Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

God bless you

Keith
