ALBANIA PART 3

The Bektashi are Muslim but regarded as heretical by the Sunni Muslim majority, but there is the start of a church as a few have become believers.

The Vlach area group linked to the gypsies and there has been some fruit from ministry amongst them.

The Gorani have seen some come to faith, please pray for establishment of strong churches.

The Rufai are bound in witchcraft and superstition, please pray for the breaking of these bondages.

Kosovar Albanians are virtually all Muslim with 1,000 believers. in twelve small churches. Please pray for the growth of these church and the planting of others.

Albanians in Macedonia and Montenegro number over 1 million, with very little outreach to them. Please pray for the calling of workers.

Many Albanians have moved to such places as Greece, UK, Netherlands and USA. Please pray that these communities would be reached with the gospel and Churches planted

Every home for Christ gave literature to every home in Albania a few years ago, please pray that this would bear fruit.

ALBANIA PART 1

Praise God for the continued growth of the church, from virtually no believers to nearly 15,000.

Islam is still the dominant religion in Albania, the  Christian minority is largely in the Orthodox church. Cults such as the Mormons and Jw’s are active. Please pray that the church would be grounded in the word of God.

Please pray for the training of Pastors and Church leaders, especially pray for the work of the Albanian Evangelical alliance and for the work of several theological seminaries , that they would train up leaders who are grounded deeply in the word.

PEOPLE GROUP

ALBANIANS

They number 2.5 million in their whole country and many thousands in many overseas countries. They are 1-2% Christian and they need dynamic and relevant outreach to them.

Please pray that the Albanian believers, would have a direct affect on their country, serving their countrymen with love and compassion.

Pray for the Albanians living abroad, that they would be reached with the gospel.
