Sunday

Lets take a trip down the coast of my adopted county, Lancashire. 

Lancashire is the red rose county and its coastline is dotted with seaside towns and pretty little villages.

The next town down from Morecambe is Fleetwood, this town is known for fish and fisherman’s friend sweet.

This town needs deep revival, again the church operates in this place, but is in deep need of a revival move of the spirit of God.

Monday

The Fylde coast as it is known, is a magnet for retired people, two of these towns are Thornton- Cleverley’s and Lytham St Annes.

Please pray that these people who come to retire in these places, would come face to face with the living Christ.

Tuesday

Blackpool

The Las Vegas of the UK, this is like Vanity fair of the book Pilgrim’s progress, three piers, a tower, pleasure beach rides and hundreds of amusement arcades add to it’s decadence.

A Christian crusade was held there by Franklin Graham, in 2017, under great opposition. Please pray for the churches in this place would be salt and light.

Street pastors operate in many places in the UK, on weekends Blackpool is overrun by Hen and Stag parties, please pray that this town would be challenged and transformed by the gospel. Please pray for Christian young people growing up in this environment.

Wednesday

Half way down sits Preston this small city has a number of strong evangelical churches, which we praise God for.

It does have an increasingly large and vocal Muslim community, so please pray that the churches would reach out to them.

I know Preston well, as I studied there many years ago, I have given out tracts on its streets. 

Please pray for this city.

Thursday

Southport, Formby and Ormskirk

Sleepy and retired focused seaside towns that need God to move, all of these places are commuter towns with people who work in Liverpool and Manchester living there.

There is great need, people are hurting. Recently, three young girls were stabbed to death at a kindergarten in Southport, which led to race riots, please pray for the deep hurt between communities be healed by the power of the gospel.

Friday and Saturday

We come to Liverpool, home of the best football team and pop group ever!.  but more than that it needs dynamic spiritual healing.

It has many vibrant churches and much outreach to university students and minority groups.

Please pray for the work of Liverpool city mission.

Several of the current Liverpool players have strong and active Christian faith including members of the current first team and their former manager. Please pray that these men, would be good role models.

Morecambe

My home town situated in North Lancashire, has several great evangelical churches such as Heysham Free methodist church and Heart church. 

Morecambe is a seaside town, which has seen better days, but the Lord is working in it. I lived in the town for many years and so I ask that you pray for this town. It has the best view and sunsets, across Morecambe Bay, so please pray for this special place.

These churches and others are seeking to reach out, Morecambe is full of retired people, so please pray that the gospel would go out to these people in their Golden years.

Please pray that many young people would be challenged by the Gospel, There is a great outreach to schools through sports reach

Please pray for this unique outreach.

Monday

Lancaster

This is the city nearest to Morecambe, they are virtually interconnected.

Lancaster is a historic city, the castle is over 1000 years old and is magnificent.

Like Morecambe, Lancaster has seen better days, financially and more importantly spiritually.

But there are strong and dynamic churches that are active in the city, so please pray for dynamic revival in the city.

University students from all over the world, come to the university and they are open to outreach. Please pray that the Christian students amongst them, would integrate and strengthen the churches, many have stayed on in Lancaster, as it is a tech hub.

Please pray for this city, it has seen better days, but again, it is like many cities in the UK, it needs a powerful move of God.

Tuesday

The Lune valley

The river lune flows through Lancaster and into Morecambe bay, dotted about in that valley are many small villages, some like Caton, Brookhouse and Burton in Lonsdale have active evangelical churches, but others such as Halton, Halton, Melling, Wray and Hornby do not.

Please pray for the establishment of churches in every small village in the UK

Wednesday

North Lancashire

Carnforth is the major town in this area, this town has an evangelical church, which is active.

Small villages near it such as Silverdale, Warton, Arnside and Sandside have Church of England churches, many of which are not gospel preaching.

Capernwray hall is an Evangelical bible college, which is a great bonus to the area, as students are motivated to help the churches in the local area.

Thursday

The Bay area

As you look across the bay, you will see the hills of the lake district, as I said, this is the best view in the UK.

The two main town are Grange over Sands and Barrow, the former is a retirement hub, but Barrow is more industrial, please pray for the churches in these two towns.

They are a little isolated, so pray that the powerful wind of the Holy spirit, would not miss these places.

Friday

The Trough of Bowland

A wild and beautiful are, that is very unspoilt, roads here, aren’t the best and it is dotted with many small villages.

This is an area that needs God to move, some say, it doesn’t matter, but it does to God.

Please pray for little hamlets such as Walker fold, Dolphinholme, Chipping and Oakenclough.

Saturday

Hurst green

Situated in the Ribble valley, is the small village of Hurst green, we stayed for a week in 2024. We on Sunday, went to the small Church of England church, which like many was lifeless, cold and dead. Please pray for this small church, that God’s spirit, would break through. There are thousands of villages like this in the UK.

This village has a famous Catholic boarding school, indeed the biggest in the UK, Stonyhurst College.

In 2024, I spent many early mornings, walking up the drive to the gate and praying, this place is closed to the gospel. Please pray that the true gospel, would have free course and that the bible would become the pre eminent book in this school. If you go on it’s website, you see all about helping the whole person and academic and sporting excellence, without mentioning the main agents of this, God, Jesus and the Holy Bible. May God’s holy spirit break into this place.

Please pray for these places, these children need to be exposed to the true gospel, not to the sacraments and false teachings of the catholic church.

Sunday

London

This is the capital of the British isles, it is one of the world’s mega cities, it is a financial and cultural powerhouse.

It is a melting pot of many cultures and peoples, but now Muslim’s are seeking to take over and it is now being called LONDONSTAN.

White people now make up only 30% of Londoners, but this creates an opening for the church. There is now a great opportunity to reach out, please pray that the church would be bold enough to take it.

Please pray for all the churches in London, that they would be outward looking, seeking to reach out. Please pray for the many ministries that are seeking to reach out such as Open air mission, London city mission and tell -a tourist.

Monday

Birmingham

The second city of the UK, this city sits in the industrial heart of the country, this city has re-invented itself. But it needs strong and powerful revival.

Again, a large and vocal Muslim minority are seeking to take over, many councillors and mayors in these cities are now Muslim. Please pray that God’s people would rise up in prayer and outreach.

They are seeking to impose sharia law by legal means, by being elected to be councillors etc. You see the cleverness of the enemy, not many people vote in local council elections, so they can gain power by covet means.

Tuesday

Manchester and Liverpool

Two cities closest to my home, the former is known as the  party capital of the UK, again the mayor of this city is a Muslim as are many council leaders.

Liverpool is the home of the beatless and a seaport. Both these cities need revival and for the church to arise.

Again both are very multicultural, please pray for the churches and for the ministry of Liverpool city mission and Manchester city mission.

Wednesday

Bradford and Leeds

The major cities of my home county of Yorkshire, indeed Bradford is my birthplace.

Both made their wealth, through the wool trade, but now that industry has largely died and they are now service orientated.

Bradford has a large and very vocal Asian community and Leeds a large West Indian community. Bradford has many mosques, and sharia law is now being taught in the schools.

The West Indian community in Leeds is nominally Christian and needs a dynamic touch of the Holy Spirit.

Thursday

Bristol

Situated in the South west of England

Another city that like Liverpool, gained its wealth from the sea.

Another city that needs a powerful revival. There have been riots in this city, as there has been in many other cities of the UK

Friday

The north eastern cities of Newcastle and Sunderland

These were strongly industrial cities based on mining and shipbuilding, but now they are largely service orientated.

Revival is the major need for these cities, these cities are the battleground for the church.

Saturday

The cities of England were once it’s heart, but many if not all of them are turning into Muslim controlled cities.

Saturday night, they are not safe as drink and anti social behaviour takes over the streets.

The churches in the inner cities are few and far between, and Christians, need to be bold and go into these churches, many churches have retreated to the suburbs.

Please pray earnestly for these cities outlined above, may the gospel take over these cities, many churches in the cities have been taken over and made into entertainment venues and other so called places of worship.

Why should you pray for the UK?

It’s just a little island, surely, its too small to be concerned about?

Sunday

Please pray for the Sunday services of the church in the UK, that God would strengthen the church and speak clearly to it.

Please pray for Revival to come to the UK,  the church in the UK needs to repent. Please pray that repentance would happen in the church.

Monday

England

This is the largest of the countries that make up the UK, it has given the world many powerful Christian leaders, but now the established Church of England is very weak, many churches are like social clubs, there are strong Churches, but many small rural churches have lost their fire.

It needs a powerful wave of revival to sweep through these rural churches. We went to two whilst in the UK last year, they were completely dead.

Tuesday

Wales

This is the home of revival in the UK, the last one being in 1907. But now the flames of revival have nearly died out.

Again a move of God is needed to shake this nation, to return it to it’s biblical roots.

The new archbishop of Wales is a woman, but worse than that, she is a lesbian, she is in an active relationship with another woman. This is terrible, this is clearly God’s judgement.

Please pray for a national repentance.

Tuesday

Scotland

This is the land of John Knox and has a great Christian heritage, but sadly now the Church of Scotland advocates same sex marriage and homosexuality.

Again powerful prayer is needed to change Scotland, the last revival in the Isle of Lewis in 1949, was started when two elderly ladies prayed fervently.

This shows that the Lord only needs one or two committed prayer warriors to change a nation.

Please pray for Scotland.

Wednesday

Northern Ireland

This small part of the island of Ireland, has been through many horrific things, in the last forty years, but now the troubles are over. Please pray that true peace through Christ, would reign in both the protestant and catholic communities.

Please pray that the falseness of the catholic church, would be exposed and that the true gospel of grace would become the central focus of this nation.

Continue to pray for dear Pastors such as my dear friend Dr Kenny McClinton.

Thursday

Islands of  the UK

There are several islands around the UK, such as the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and the Sicily Isles.

These islands are small, they have evangelical churches, but they need a deep and powerful revival to transform them.

Friday

London

One of the world’s mega cities, it is reckoned that London will be 30% immigrant very soon.

Now some of them are strong Christians, but many are Muslim and now London is now being called Londonstan.

Please pray that Londoners would respond to the gospel.

Saturday

Please pray for the pastors and church leaders in the UK, they are under serious pressure, due to pressure to become more inclusive and tolerant. Woke culture has taken over the UK, but now a backlash is starting. Please pray for a spiritual revival among pastors.

It is reckoned that 50% of pastors are struggling with pornography, please pray for pastors to be clean vessels and that they would stand strong and preach the true gospel. Please pray for such pastors as Dan, Mark, Victor and many others who preach the true gospel.

Please pray that many godly men would be raised up.

COUNTRY AND CHURCH

Sunday

Britain has a long and glorious history, but time seems to have caught up with this country.

It is a pale imitation of what it once was, all is not well with the country.,

National repentance is needed, a thorough cleansing of the church, must take place.

Please pray for this.

MONDAY

The present government is not a friend of Christianity, it bows down to special interest groups, please pray for the members of local, national and regional government, who serve Christ.

It has brought into law, things to help assisted dying etc.

Tuesday

Please pray for King Charles, a very confused man, who has recently met with the pope, he thinks all religions lead to God. Please pray for the monarchy, that God would break into this family.

I went back to the UK in 2024 after nine years away, I saw a country broken and divided, one that had lost it’s identity.

Please pray that the church would arise in boldness.

Thank God for the growing churches in the UK, especially amongst Chinese and African peoples.

People complain that there are too many immigrants, when in reality, this is an open door for the gospel. Please pray the church would reach out.

Wednesday

One hundred years ago, the British empire covered a quarter of the world, but this is now largely discredited,

Please pray that there would be national repentance about the hurt caused by the actions of previous generations.

Thursday

The established church is spilt, there are strong evangelical churches, but most churches are dead or dying.

Please pray for these evangelical churches within the Anglican communion that they would preach the gospel.

Please pray for the many dead Anglican churches, which are no more than glorified social clubs to be transformed by the Holy Spirit’s power.

Please pray for the leaders of the Anglican churches, that they would return and repent. Recently the Anglican church has elected a woman Archbishop of Cantebury and is now closely aligned to the false Romish doctrines. Please pray for repentance for this once great church.

Friday

There are many denominations especially the methodists, due to the ministry of the Wesley brothers, but many are dead and dying, indeed my own denomination, the Free methodists broke away from the established Methodist church because of their deadness.

Many independent churches are growing such as Heart Church in Morecambe and West Street in Bury St Edmunds, please pray for these churches.

Saturday

The UK has a long history of great men and women of God, such as Spurgeon, George Muller, Whitfield and Hudson Taylor.

Please pray that God would raise up many dynamic Christian men and women, who would shake the UK.
