Modern technology  is going to play a major role in equipping the Algerian church.

Firstly many people groups need to have the scriptures in their own language, please pray that such tools as AI would be used to translate the bible into these languages.

The internet has a pivotal role to play as do mobile phones to provide bible based content that would encourage the Algerian Church.

This country is a young church, it needs handling with care and constant prayer. Please pray that this church would have God’s protection, the boldness of the Spirit of God and Christ’s compassion.

Please pray for the following people groups in Algeria:

Young people and children make up three quarters of the population, many of the believers are first generation believers and need careful nurture and care. Please pray that they would grow up well.

The Atlas mountains are home to the Berber people, there are now believers in many of the 13 groups that are growing. Please pray for the growth of a truly Berber church that would impact the whole of North Africa.

The Tuareg and Bedouin people are now responding to the gospel. Continue to water these shoots with fervent prayer.

The Oasis towns of the Sahara, which were once seen as unreachable are now being reached by fervent Algerian believers. Churches are being started. Please pray for these fledging believing groups

The church is growing through bold witness, but laws are now being passed, which would make the sharing of the gospel illegal. Please pray that all efforts to stop the spread of the gospel would be stopped.

For the establishment of strong Christian families, most Christian girls are forced into marriages with Muslims. This country needs to see the beauty of true Christian homes.

For the few  pastors, who are under constant strain and surveillance  and for the calling and training of gifted men to the ministry.

Becoming a Christian from a Muslim background, makes you really unemployable, as many jobs are reserved for Muslim’s. Pray for provision of Jobs for these dear believers

Over 4 million Algerians are now in Europe and this is an open door, please pray for the planting of churches amongst them.

Algeria is a majority Muslim country, situated in North Africa, it has a large coastline with the Mediterranean sea.

The Christian community is small but growing, although Islam is the dominant religion, gospel activity has grown in recent years.

Praise God for the dynamic growth of the church, fellowships are starting all over the country, but persecution is very active and ongoing. Please pray that despite these challenges, the church would continue to grow.

The church is Algerian, it has its own identity. Please pray for more resources to be made available specifically aimed at Algerian believers, they need resources that are relevant to them and their culture.
