Situated next to Papua New Guinea, seven volcanic islands.

Revivals have blessed these islands over many years and this has led to one third of the population claiming to be Evangelical.

The civil war of the early 2000’s caused major splits in the country, please pray for deep healing and reconciliation.

Tribal identity is paramount in these islands, please pray that Christians would be unified through Christ.

Although the islands are Christianized, there is much nominalism and sin in the church. Please pray that there would be a strong emphasis on Prayer, Bible study and Outreach.

Cults have seen growth  and now Islamic groups are making progress, please pray that the church would rise UP to meet this challenge.

Thank God for the Evangelical seminaries and training programmes that are now having a great impact especially on the South Sea Evangelical Church, continue to pray for the calling and equipping of anointed men.

Specific ministry 

Scripture union and Child evangelism fellowship working amongst young people, many of them are nominal Christians.

Prison ministry is bearing much fruit. Continued prayer is needed.

Bible translation for many tribes and languages is still a great need, please pray for all those who are seeking to undertake this work.  Pray for the work of Wycliffe bible translation teams and may AI be used to translate into these languages.

Christian hospitals and clinics are a great sense of blessing and outreach, continue to pray that this would continue.

Churches are now running schools, please pray that these schools would be truly bible based.

Christian radio is a great tool to reach minority people.  Please pray that every person in this country, would have a chance to hear and respond to the gospel.

These islands are Christian, but need much prayer.

Please pray that this would create a state of national urgency to come before God in prayer and repentance.

The congregational church that once was strong is now riddled with false theology, please pray that the churches would put the bible back to the centre of their witness and worship.

There is a base for Youth with a mission on these islands and church growth has been remarkable over the past few years.

But there has been growth in cult activity especially the mormons, please pray that the church would confront these false teachers and that the truth of the gospel would penetrate every home.
