Coastal province , west of Shanghai

Christians number between 8-10%

This is the province, I live in.

Please pray as although there is great progress for the gospel, there are also severe challenges. We cannot meet in person so all meetings must be virtual Please pray that creative ways to get round these restrictions are found.

Please pray that whatever the persecution, the gospel goes forward on a daily basis and that God would call many Chinese people into his kingdom.

Please pray for the major cities of this province especially Nanjing (my home), Wuxi, Suzhou and Yancheng. Please pray that the church would be revived in these places.

Please pray that the church would become mature and purified during this severe period of persecution.

Jiangsu is relatively prosperous, the danger for Christians to be drawn into the world is obvious. Please pray that the church would be salt and light to their communities.

Continue to pray for deep and powerful revival to touch every area of this province.

Please pray that every housing complex, would have it’s own bible study.

CHINESE OVERSEAS

There are Chinese in virtually every country on earth and in many western countries, there are large Chinatowns especially in North America and Europe.

Please pray that the western church would fellowship and share the gospel with the many Chinese, who are open to the gospel.

Please pray for the growth of many Chinese churches, for example in Calgary in Canada, there are thirteen Chinese churches, please pray that these churches would not just impact the Chinese community, but the whole of Canada.

STUDENTS

Millions of Chinese students study overseas and are an open door to the gospel, please pray that many would be reached with the gospel. Please pray that they would be befriended by local Christians and churches.

Students from many countries are now flocking to China, many Christians amongst them, please pray for divine appointments as they seek to share the gospel on a personal level with fellow students.

The Chinese love to travel, they love to experience new cultures, as they travel, may many be confronted with the truths of the gospel. If there is a scenic spot in your area during the summer, you are sure to find Chinese people there, please get hold of Chinese gospel literature, you can source this on the net AND GO AND SHARE THE GOSPEL.

FOREIGNERS IN CHINA

There are great challenges, but also great opportunities, the challenges are the language, which I find difficult, but there are tremendous opportunities, the Chinese are fascinated by foreigners. I was in a park talking to a group of Sri Lankans and a group of boys, who spoke very good English approached us, they are so interested and are very friendly and open, they will smile and are happy to see you.

The Chinese people are a wonderful people, they have given me, more love and been genuinely kind, than most people in the west, I’m sad to say this.

Finally, you need to come to China, you need to come to China, you need to eat their food, you need to ride on their subways, you need to go to their markets, come and see for yourself.

Be moved for China, the need is beyond words.
