Judah on Trial
Isaiah 1:12-17
When you appear before the Lord,
Who required you in His court;
Bring no offering to afford,
An incense loathing to consort.
For the new moon and the Sabbath,
The calling of convocation;
Will never tolerate His wrath,
Regardless of your location.
God can’t endure iniquity,
Your new moon and appointed feast;
After your solemn assembly,
Devouring wildebeest.
Your appointed feasts His soul hates,
He is weary of bearing them;
For they will be sealing your fates,
In which your Lord God will condemn.
When you’re spreading out of your hands,
The Lord will hide His eyes from you;
Even though you pray to demand,
He will not hear since it’s not true.
Your hands full of blood and need to clean,
Remove evil deeds before His eyes;
Your evil thoughts simply obscene,
The Lord wants to make you wise.
Learn to seek good and seek justice,
Make plea unto the widow’s cause;
Bring justice to the fatherless,
Confession for all of your flaws.
