We will begin by praying for the country of Malaysia, specifically the capital of Kuala Lumpur, and the Chinese churches there. |
| This Week’s Prayer Guide June 28 – This month, we are praying for the Chinese communities living in various parts of Asia. Pray that God will use their presence in these countries to seek the good of [their] cities. June 29 – For the first week, we are praying for the very diverse Chinese diaspora community in Malaysia. Beneath the goals of education, career, and family, there is often a deeper longing for community, identity, and something solid to build their lives upon. May the Lord lead them to the hope of Christ as they live as strangers in a foreign country. June 30 – One of the largest groups of Chinese community in Malaysia is university students. For many of them, this is their first time living away from home and facing questions about identity, relationship, and purpose in life. Please pray that the Lord will lead them to Christian communities where they can find a higher purpose for their life. July 1 – Another group of Chinese community in Malaysia are families who were frustrated with the education system in China and moved to Malaysia to enroll their children in international schools. May the Lord comfort the hearts of these children and plant in them the seed of faith that they would not have received back in China. July 2 – As in other places in Asia, many Chinese workers came to Malaysia to provide for their families and build a better future. Please pray that Jesus can be a light of hope for them in their stress, isolation, and search for meaning. July 3 – With more Chinese people arriving in Kuala Lumpur, please pray that more healthy, gospel-centered Chinese churches will be planted throughout the city. Pray that the Chinese believers can become active participants in God’s mission rather than simply consumers of ministry. July 4 – Please pray for wisdom of the local churches as they disciple Chinese people from different backgrounds and life situations. Pray that the Lord would help them build a healthy core community and raise up future leaders for the work. |
